How To

How to destroy a brick wall with an ice pick.
How to answer the unanswerable mute voice.
How to harmonize with a band of brigands.
How to structure a society from chaos.
How to mine the untapped inner borough.
How to make music out of nothing at all.
How to negotiate peace amongst madmen.
How to drive straight to the point of there.
How to bill for services rendered in blood.
How to praise the famous faction mongers.
How to monopolize indiscriminate usury.
How to milk a cow out on the freeway.
How to love without knowing what it does.
How to thrive and be everything at once.
How to minimize casualties over time.
How to enhance the odds of survival.
How to remain calm in a hurricane.
How to rule out falsely promoted claims.
How to know when sacrifice will suffice.
How to script a life yet imagined.
How to give in while it’s still possible.
How to maximize every drop of water.

Lawn Mower Man

Back to earth again.
I won’t need this spaceship anymore
only a parachute to break my fall.

I’m back on earth again. I’ll be doing
what I did before.

I had my trip around the world.
I took the planet tour.
Those stars won’t stop me now
like they did before.

I’m back on earth again.

So I say, give me another drink
I don’t want to think
about telling you
to go back to
your home
your lawnmower
your kids
and
your wife.
