I felt your presence in the gallery that day
reflected from walnut floors
glowing white in gleaming walls
an exhibition of silent implication
tantalizing me with an emotion of colors
vermillion visions in my eye like a cinder
the cost of wanting
the price of possession
the inability to turn away
my heels make hollow music here
death and rent forgotten
enticed by connotation and the way
you hold your cup the way you hold yourself
Monet’s vague outline style still transfixed
as this fascination becomes
the painting itself

Bio (auto)

Although KJ Hannah Greenberg is only infrequently abetted by her imaginary hedgehogs, she regularly sloshes through the act of matchmaking words. One of her cutest couples is “balderdash” and “xylophone.” To wit, Channie has placed her work with dozens of publications, ranging from 365 Tomorrows to Language and Culture Magazine. She lives in Jerusalem, Israel.

A 1950's Ae Freislighe:
How to Get Your Girlfriend Pregnant

Matrimony's objective,
Versus sexual detours,
Teaches maidens selective
Schemes; i.e. chivalry's rescored.

"Potency means manliness,"
Quotes society. Esteem
Encourages randiness;
Experience ranks supreme.

Well done, human condition!
Pig-tails and jocks' affect
Stances for the best position.
(With traditional regrets.)
